Are firstborn baby delivery costs associated with ‘participant + spouse’ or ‘family’ plan?

How are hospital costs that are specifically associated to the delivery of a baby considered? At the time of delivery, my spouse and I will be under a health plan that covers participant + spouse. During the QLE enrollment period after the birth of our child, we will add a dependent which pushes us into a family plan. I added the pricing below for reference.

For example, let’s say the delivery cost us $10,000. Will we only need to hit the $2,800 deductible/ $4,500 OOP max for this health bill?

Participant + Spouse: Deductible: $2,800 / OOP Max: $4,500 Family: Deductible: $3,500 / OOP Max: $6,000
