Completely lost 😔

Slight bit of important backstory: My parents were abusive and I have no contact with them (2 years). I was on state insurance (ambetter) which was going well until I found out I was not qualified because I was under my parents insurance again. The mother fuckers went ahead and signed me up under them again. On top of that, I couldn’t get off the plan without speaking to my father and I couldn’t even use the plan because it didn’t have my legal name, but my birth name.

Around this time I was like yknow what, fuck it, I had just gotten a new job so I was able to afford something a little more expensive, so I took it. I filled out some interest forms, the benefits sounded nice and they confirmed that they covered all of what I needed (endocrinologist, bloodwork every few months, physical therapy, mental health therapy, medications). Time goes on I think it’s all good and fine but I was recently billed by my dr for $300 per visit because this insurance only paid $50. I am LIVID and I am lost. This plan pays for so much less than it should.

So now that all of that is done, I am a transgender man hoping to get top surgery someday soon-ish, I’m in PT, I see a therapist once a week for ptsd and others, I take testosterone daily. I have typically 2 doctors appointments every week right now between all of those doctors, but once physical therapy is done it’ll only be one. I’m willing to pay around 400 (or a little more even) a month for health insurance if it covers pretty much all of it. I also live in Georgia if that helps, I’m 21.

I’m just kind of genuinely lost as to where to go because I have been royally screwed over in the health insurance department many many times and I have so many more stories I could tell. Any help is greatly appreciated.
