Completely new to health insurance. Need some advice before buying a plan

This is going to be my first time getting a health insurance. I’m 32 yo living in Colorado. I and my husband made too much to get Medicaid. My husband has never had a health insurance either.

So I have this hip pain for at least 2-3 years. It used to come and go after working out and/or playing sports. Just the past few months it has been bothering me 24/7. I would like to see a physician. I am very healthy and has never been admitted to a hospital my whole life.

I got quoted for a HMO plan $340 a month just for my self with $40 co pay for visits. And the deductible is $8700

My question is if I’m only planning on seeing a doctor for my hip. Do I even need a health insurance. Would the visit be more than $8700 deductible that I have to meet?

I’m so sorry for being really uneducated on the topic of healthcare and health insurance.
