Dual Coverage worth it in this case?

I am getting married and my wife will need a neurosurgery in the next year. Her employer just got bought out by a competitor and now the health care she has been receiving will be out-of-network on her new insurance they provide. Both our employers happen to provide insurance through the same insurer, but most hospitals are in-network for my specific plan (including the care she’s been receiving and surgeon) and most hospitals are out-of-network for her plan. Would adding her to my plan as secondary coverage for her (virtually no increased cost to add her to my plan, which has a $100 deductible and $500 out-of-pocket max) be of any benefit here for her appointments and surgery cost? Neither plan offers an HSA.

Edit: As a qualification to add her to my plan, it must be as secondary coverage if her employer offers insurance.
