I have an abscessed tooth and need a filling and root canal. I lost my dental insurance in May so my dentist is quoting me $2,500 for everything (root canal, core buildup, resin based restoration, pulp cap) and am scheduled to get it done Friday.
Am I screwed without dental insurance? I can get insurance on the marketplace but it won’t be active until 2021 and I also read this: “IMPORTANT: You can’t buy a Marketplace dental plan unless you’re buying a health plan at the same time.”
Are discount plans like 1Dental and Dentalplans.com legit or a waste of money?
