Hernia surgeries in 2020 and 2021. Deductible questions

In March my boyfriend had a hernia surgery. He recovered and was sent back to work with no restrictions after six weeks. He had a second round of hernias appear in May. He was told to lose weight before these hernias could be repaired. He lost the weight by September and was okayed to meet with the surgeon on December 7th. He now has a surgery scheduled for January 6th with the surgeon. He has AllSavers Insurance. He met his deductible in 2020 and I wanted to see if there was anyway to get his deductible to rollover to 2021. I know it’s a longshot but he did everything he could to lose the weight quickly and get his surgery scheduled for 2020. Edit to this: If there is not a solution, does anyone know of the best way to deal with medical debt? Any advice/help is appreciated!
