Hi, I’m a 21 year old female and full time student at a university. I decided to apply for health care and I cannot believe the cheapest premium is 200 a month? Is that real or did I do something wrong? I pay for all of my expenses, I have two jobs while studying nursing full time and have been struggling greatly with my mental health. I wanted to talk to a psychiatrist but it was far too expensive. I’ve never had health insurance as an adult, my parents are immigrants and do not have health insurance for themselves. Thinking it would be better for me financially, I applied on healthcare.gov and my premium options started at 200 a month. I live pay check to pay check. Is that really my cheapest option? I’m sorry if I sound totally out of touch with reality but I think that’s because I am. I’d appreciate any information or advice.
Thank you!
