I need coverage for 2021. Am Self employed was unemployed most of last year, started consulting in September. Signed up for bcbs plan with a payment due on the 18th. I had covid at beginning of the year and just bad timing with paychecks I haven’t gotten paid since mid December until my check cleared today. I went to pay my health insurance plan and they are telling me they won’t take it and now I don’t qualify… Is there any kind of disaster or gap coverage? basically I don’t want to get diagnosed with cancer or some shit and go bankrupt… Am 30, in Texas. I guess if something like that I could go get a salary job and that would qualify me for their enrollment but that gives me anxiety as a safety net..
EDIT: bcbs plan was through marketplace. bcbs rep told me they can’t do anything even though they set the payment due date..
