Need corrective jaw surgery, but insurance won’t cover hospital stay

I had a consult for corrective jaw surgery for an over bite that I need in addition to braces. The surgeon submitted a pre-authorization to my insurance and they did approve the surgery and the surgeon. The surgery requires a 1 day stay in a hospital, as well. However, the hospital that he performs the surgery at is considered out of network and so is the Anesthesia. Out of network coverage has a $7500 copay and then they’ll pay 50%.

I have been back and forth with insurance who states he would have to do the procedure at an in network facility. However, the in network facilities don’t have jaw surgeons, so that’s not even an option. I’ve left messages with the surgeon’s office as well to see if there was anything he could do to attempt to get the hospital stay covered. I don’t even know what the overall surgery expense is, but I am going to guess it’s not cheap. I also work in a hospital and know that spending a night in the hospital won’t be cheap, as well.

Is there anything I can do?
