Should I appeal for a $11,000 hospital bill after being sent to an out of network hospital. (NE)

So awhile back I was severely suicidal and admitted myself to a hospital that was in-network. But since they were short of beds they told me it would be a few days for a spot to open up and that they were going to be transferring me to another hospital. It was either transfer me, or I would have half to have stayed in the ER, locked in a room, alone, not receiving treatment, until a spot opened up in the psychiatric ward, which could take 2-3 days. And I couldn’t legally leave and discharge myself, since I was suicidal. So I was transferred to a hospital outside of my network.

In the end, I received a bill for about $11,400. The claims was “in review” until about last week. They paid, $0.00 and I’m now stuck with this bill. I do not have the funds to pay this bill, and I’m hoping I can appeal? But I have no idea where to start or if I have an actual case since I didn’t have a choice in transferring.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Also, I don’t know if it’s relevant but I haven’t met my deductible and I have another insurance the supplements my health insurance and they denied that claim too???? I’m young and honestly have no experience with dealing with insurance companies
