Should I take employers Cigna Global plan for $300 out of pocket a month premium – or should I keep my private plan – United Healthcare through Freedom Life ?

Must Read

I’m 31 and wife is 35. Both in good health and we are trying to conceive our first baby now – hopefully will have 1 this year. Trying to determine if keeping our private insurance plan for extra $116 a month is better than the employees option that would be $116 less a month. Also not sure if the employees premium plus plan is better because it’s an HSA too. Current Plan: US Health Group – United Health Care PPO – $416 a month.

Employers Plan in my state would be Cigna Global or Cigna Premium Plus HSA – both around $300 per month.

I don’t know too much about Cigna Global other than everything is in Network – but they didn’t provide a summary benefits table for that plan.

Here is plan for Premium Plus HSA plan (look a Premium Plus column) https://imgur.com/a/gSSJQcW

I currently have United Healthcare Plus I bought privately through a broker – that is intended to be more for people who don’t have access to other plans I think.
