What Would You Do in This Situation?

Hi all,

I started a new job today and due to my ignorance I didn’t read the fine print that my wife couldn’t be on my insurance at my new job if she is offered insurance at her job.

There wasn’t this rule at my previous job and I was able to have her on my insurance no problem.

So I am kinda freaking out now since she can’t be on my insurance at my job and her open enrollment period isn’t till the Fall of this year…

Is COBRA an option for her?

I see open enrollment has expired for Obamacare and my state, NC, doesn’t have extended enrollment.

What can we do? Or is she just not going to have insurance until open enrollment for her work?

Thanks for all the help.
