My doctor prescribed me a cream over a week ago. Walgreens said it was delayed and they were working with my insurance/doctor. After no progress, I looked into my insurance. It is a cover drug but “may need pre-authorization.” Message my doctor back and give him the number to call. They reply that they will contact my insurance/pre-authorization department but it may take up to a week.
- Why the f- is this necessary? My doctor wrote me the prescription, clearly he finds it necessary. What if this was something I needed ASAP? Ugh
- What does “may need pre-authorization” mean? So for some people they just say okay?
