I recently had an IUD perforate my uterus during insertion. It was noticed at the 4 week check up that was strings were missing. After an ultrasound and x-ray, it was found in my abdomen. I had laparoscopic surgery to remove it shortly after. The Affordable Care Act says insurance must cover IUD removal, would insurance possibly cover this? I have decent insurance.
