63 year old type 2 diabetic who is the sole breadwinner.
I currently get medical care for both I and my wife through my employer. My wife is 59 and has a modest retirement through the state of NC 750 per month, My present income is actually less than what I could draw from Social Security if I filed today.
I know I can continue to work until my wife turns 62 (992 days) and then she and I will get Medicare/Medicaid however I am so tired of 7-4 with a 2 hour commute each day. All I want to do is spend time at home with my wife.
What kind of budget would I need to have decent medical insurance for these next 2.6 years? USA, North Carolina
