As the title says, I’m trying to navigate getting a couple weeks to relax before starting a new job. I have 3 weeks of PTO built up that will be paid back to me upon leaving. However I’m worried about
-
having a health insurance gap durimg that two week break between jobs
-
Paying out the ass for COBRA for such a short time frame
-
Considering using my PTO before quitting
I’ll be ending my current project soon so I’m not worried about black balling my team in any way, but I am worried about the possibly negative perception of using PTO when i hit the bench then saying adios.
I’m hoping someone here can offer some advice on the best way to tackle this.
Thanks!
