Back in November I had to resign up for health insurance. Some of the plans changed so I couldn’t go with the same plan I had but tried to find something similar. The site showed the same hospitals and doctors for the most part and I went with the HSA plan. Now I am finding out that the doctors I want aren’t in network and I would have to travel 45-60 minutes to all new doctors because of my zipcode. I submitted a claim to change my benefits but got denied. I feel as though they didn’t really look at the evidence I had of the error. I am appealing the claim and sending the screenshots that show those facilities as in network and emails from the the company that acknowledged that those were errors. Plus, I am hoping I can get the plan that has my doctors, regardless of my zip. I literally live 1/2 mile from the next county which is where most of the docs are located.
Does anyone have any advice? Do you think I will get denied again? Should I see a lawyer?
