Please feel free to advise if there is a better sub for my question.
I recently had a hospital stay and some other various appointments. I have somehow already met my out of pocket max for the entire calendar year and somehow overpaid (I think the hospital ran benefits early and collected more than they needed to.) My out of pocket max with BCBS on my plan is $1250 but I spent about $1400 using my FSA funds via employer.
What happens now? Is there some type of reimbursement process? Thank you kindly in advance for any advice/ info. The customer service people are kind but undertrained I think and I’m getting a bit of conflicting advice so I figured I’d just come here as an alternative means of gathering personal experience.
