Greetings all. I had my yearly physical where I asked to get tested for STDs. The bill came in and its charging $50-200 per STD test. So $50 for testing for HIV, $200 for gonorrhea test, etc. That total of all the tests is just under $2000.
Obviously this is absurd and Im in disbelief. I have never. Ever. heard of anyone being billed this much.
Can this be disputed? Especially because there are public services that offer these tests for uninsured people at a small percentage of this price.
Does anyone have any advice as to how to go about dealing with this? When it comes to health insurance it seems like its always a terrible experience, but this takes the cake. I feel like im a fool playing a game i just cant understand.
