Looking for advice. I’m about to lose my insurance in a few months as I turn 26 as I was signed up under my dads.
I am currently a unemployed cancer survivor, I got diagnosed and then covid happened and I have been unable to get regular work outside gigs. I live at my parents house in Oregon and am currently listed as a dependent. I am not currently receiving or signed up for unemployment etc.
I am very stressed about losing health insurance as I am still undergoing regular medical appointments and have been going to therapy but will have to stop in the summer at this point.
When I looked at Medicare, it asked for household income and I listed my parents total income and was told by website it was too high. My personal income off gig work is very low.
Does anyone have any ideas for me? If I have to purchase a healthcare plan I foresee it being a pretty big financial burden on me as they all seem to be about 200$ a month and having to pay for visits and medication. I am on regular medication.
