So let me try to explain my screwed situation. I am currently on my mother’s health insurance plan (Blue Cross Blue Shield of FL), but that is ending soon. I have a bit over 2 months before I am booted off her insurance. I am currently living at home with my mother and have been going to college consistently for about the past two years trying to finish up my education. However, at the moment I am unemployed and have only been doing odd jobs really since the pandemic started. I have a bit of money saved up, but with no current full time employer that I can get health insurance from, I am looking for other options. I am of course on the job hunt for something that can offer me health insurance, but have not been having luck. As I’ve said in the title, I am a T1 diabetic, so I do have to get something immediately after my coverage right now ends.
While I am on the search for options, I thought I’d make a reddit post to ask for some guidance because as I’ve seen so far from my search, there is a lot of very convoluted information out there that can get overwhelming.
So, after hearing my situation, would you all have any suggestions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
