So I used to have anthem health insurance in CALIFORNIA which ended on 01/09/21
I then moved from California to IDAHO on 02/01/2021
I now am traveling in HAWAII since 03/01/2021
I cannot sign up for medicaid because I’m processing an immigration application that restricts use of public benefits.
I want to see a doctor while I’m in Hawaii. I plan to be here for a few months travelling around the islands. I have an Idaho drivers license and no health insurance yet.
Can I purchase Hawaii health insurance or must I be purchasing Idaho health insurance? I have no plans to stay living in Idaho and we are in Hawaii to see if we like it enough to live here for six months.
Does Idaho health insurance COVER Hawaii medical?
What do I do in this instance
We don’t have a fixed address in Hawaii as we are travelling and staying in Airbnbs. We just have a usps mailbox on Oahu for mail that gets forwarded by our grandparents in Idaho.
