My son needs to get his own healthcare soon. One option his employer is pointing him at is Revolt Healthcare Alliance. When I google them or their principals, all I find are:
- News puff-pieces.
- 4- and 5-star reviews of the founder’s book on Amazon.
- Their own website, which ledes with a strong ‘stick it to the man’ vibe, and hides any information about coverage, copays, deductibles, etc. behind a ‘get a quote’ form.
I would expect someone– somewhere– to have something bad to say about them, deserved or not. But the internet’s opinion of them, where it exists at all, is entirely rainbows and unicorns.
To be fair, their website does seem to include some good advice for finding healthcare professionals, and dealing with predatory billing. So even though the first impression their website gives is ‘sketchy’, We’d be willing to consider them if we could find at least some earnest discussion of them by people with legit experiences.
Does anyone in this sub have any experience with them, either as customers, healthcare providers, or industry insiders?
P.S. My hunch about them is that they structure their healthcare plan similar to the Amish, but without the religious-based restrictions.
