I am considering a job offer. I live in California. The company is offering a ‘bronze’ health care plan, while the company I will leave has a ‘Silver’ plan. I am concerned about the potential additional cost for some expensive prescriptions and labs that I need to get regularly to manage a condition. Bronze plans can pay as little as 60% of the bill so things can add up pretty quickly.
The job itself is great, except for the insurance. I have a spouse, but his company does not offer insurance to their employees. He would continue to be on my plan.
I have heard of people buying supplemental coverage for medicare that covers some expenses not covered by medicare. Do they have the same thing for employer provided health insurance?
