Why do we put up with this, Americans? It’s truly unbelievable what these crooks get away with on a daily basis. I have an HMO and needed to get something removed from my eye…you know, immediately. That’s the nature of having something in your eye. Called the eye doctor and had to jump through a million hoops and get a referral from my PCP, who frankly doesn’t need to be involved at all. First words out of the eye doctor’s mouth weren’t “How are you? How can I help you?” They were “give me your insurance card” after having to write down that information one-eyed in the waiting room already.
Medicare for all. This is disgusting.
