I have 4 plan options but will focus on 2. $0 premiums for both. Delivery may or may not occur in the same plan year.
Plan #1 is a PPO with a $500 deductible, OOP max of $2000. Mostly everything is 10% coinsurance.
2 is another PPO, $0 deductible, OOP max of $4500. Prenatal/postnatal care no charge, except $100 copay for facility delivery. Imaging $0 at non-hospital facility/$75 at hospital based. $10 for blood work at preferred or $50 at non-preferred.
Is there any reason why I should expect to reach my OOP max for 2, given the coverage is pretty comprehensive? I just don’t see how it would cost more than 1k max, but maybe I’m missing something? I’m planning to receive services through a birthing center, which isn’t hospital-affiliated. Thanks in advance.
