Hello!
I’m a little lost and am hoping to gain some insight from the pro’s.
Last year I had a scheduled c section. I recently received a random bill for a surgical tech. It confused me as everything had already been paid for. I reached out and was advised that the surgical tech didn’t work for the hospital and didn’t take my insurance. And I should of been provided with a paper explaining that a surgical tech is required in all surgeries. (Not my issue with the bill at all)
The bill was ran through my insurance as an out of network provider. I asked for an itemized bill to compare with my EOB and they have refused to send me one. They keep responding with “you just need to pay the bill.” And “reach out to your surgeons office for that paper that notified you that it’s the rules of the hospital to have a surgical tech.”
Are there any steps I can take to ensure I get an itemized bill from them/report them if thats a thing?
I’m located in Arizona if that helps.
