I have a question about Employer Health Insurance and Taxes. This is the first time I’ve ever had employer health care so I am trying to understand how it all works.
I have Medical for my husband and I, Dental for me and then a $500 Debit card for health care costs that com out of my paycheck. The Bi-Weekly amount is about $350. From what I am seeing I am not paying taxes on this money.
So how does this work like say the total for the year was $10,000 for the health benefits and then I make $30,000. I am only paying taxes on $20,000 of my income?
This is actually a part-time job so I am trying to make sure that I have enough taxes taken out of both my jobs paychecks so we don’t owe money at the end of the year.
