People with AGI below the Federal Poverty Line are obligated to go on Medicaid, and do not qualify for subsidies, but I don’t want to go on Medicaid.
This seems wrong, but that’s what I’m running into. Total 2020 income otherwise is about $20k, most of which was unemployment this past year. Running another calculation shows the subsidy repayment is capped due to low income, and limited to $325, but still, it seems wrong that any repayment would suddenly be due just because now $10.2k of unemp income no longer counts toward AGI. Is this really the situation now? Or is there another workaround I’m missing here.
