Hi, I need some insight on dealing with billing office that changed me full medical bills, even after insurance covered 80% of it. I called the billing office and told them that insurance covers 80% of my bills and they said they did not receive anything from the insurance. Also, i told the billing office that if they could call the insurance company and solve the problem. They said that’s not their job, and told me to call the insurance and ask them if those were checks or cash. Before calling them, I called my health insurance and ask if they already paid to that provider, and they told me that they paid at 7th April, and the billing office should received by now (20th April). They also told me if they haven’t received it yet, billing office could call them anytime.
I believe my insurance, since they send me a mail that includes claim, coverage, date, and check number of every single completed claims. I have been calling them back and forth for 5 or 6 times by now and they’re making me a middleman, which i don’t have time to deal with and i don’t think that’s my job to call them about whether they received or not. At this point, i don’t know what to do since they won’t be calling each other and i am not in favor to pay full bills to that provider, as the insurance covers it.
Please, feel free to comment your opinions and who do you think should be calling about that problem, and i need advise on how to deal with both of them. Thanks!!!
