As the title states, can a deductible be higher than the out of pocket max?
I’m hashing out a quote for an international health insurance policy and the sales person just sent me a policy where the deductible is $3000, 0% cost sharing, and $0 out of pocket max.
Is the logic sound there? I always thought that deductibles had to be some fraction of the out of pocket max number?
Should it be understood that technically I’ll need to pay $3000 before I get coverage and then I pay $0?
Thank you for reading.
