Historically my spouse and I have been on separate individual HDHP health plans through our respective employers. We both contribute to HSAs.
I have just switched jobs, and we plan on both going onto my new health insurance plan for the remainder of this year. Both of our HDHP plans will end 4/30, and the new plan begins 5/1.
The new plan offers an FSA – are we eligible? I think yes, but if it was the opposite (FSA to HSA) then no.
I’ve called the benefits department and they seem clueless to it.
