I have a high deductible plan and a separate prescription plan to cover me and my kids. Without rx coverage we would pay around a thousand dollars a month for RXs.
My ex wants to put the kids on his new wife’s health insurance as a secondary insurance. Will that literally ever cover anything before the deductible is met? It seems kind of pointless to me.
If he puts the kids on his wife’s insurance he doesn’t have to pay for half of their premiums anymore, but their plan offers no rx coverage until the deductible is met.
This sounds like a really stupid move to me, but I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing.
TIA!
