Hello everyone, just to preface my question, we will be purchasing our own healthcare for the first time. I apologize if this is a super simple question.
My wife and I are going to be moving to Nevada. We are exploring the http://nevadahealthlink.com which is actually quite easy. Our AGI will be about $140,000 this year.
A question I had was comparing the plan called Anthem Bronze Pathway X Guided Access HMO 7000 for HSA (5JVC) vs Anthem Gold Pathway X Guided Access HMO 1200 (5JV8).
Anthem Bronze Pathway X Guided Access HMO 7000 for HSA (5JVC): Anthem Gold Pathway X Guided Access HMO 1200 (5JV8).
Monthly cost (premium) $582 $968
Yearly Cost (premium) 6984 11616
Deductible 7000 2400
Out of Pocket Max per person 7000 8550
Out of Pocket Max family 14000 17100
Plan Benefits Estimate Deductible than 0% coinsurance Copay, Deductible then 30% coinsurance.
Inpatient stay (maternity) Deductible than 0% 1000 copay, 30$ insurance
My wife and I are hoping to have our first child in 2021. Other than that we are thus far pretty healthy.
It seems to me that the bronze pathway would be a way better deal. Basically spending max $21,000 per year on coverage. While the Gold HMO plan at max would cost $18,100.

Am I missing something, why does it seem like bronze is cheaper? Help me become an adult. 🙂
