Is it possible to sign up for insurance to get a procedure done, then drop it after?

31 years old living in Wisconsin, currently unemployed and have coverage under my wife’s workplace insurance. I’ve been recommended a colonoscopy from my GI doc and due to our current policy’s deductible I would end up owing just short of $3000 for the procedure. That’s a bit beyond my price range for a screening/preventative procedure. My wife is also getting a new job in a few weeks and will be eligible for benefits through that in 2 months.

Is it possible for me to sign up on the marketplace with a policy that would make that procedure cheaper, then drop the policy once it’s over and hop back onto my wife’s upcoming benefits once they activate?
