Calpers vs HSA

I’m glad there’s a community like you to help navigate the horrendous healthcare system.

I’m 24 and have recently been employed with the state of California. I’ve heard the amazing benefits that state employees receive like healthcare premium subsidies, but I’ve also recently discovered the benefits of HSAs, especially for young people. I’ve heard the state does not have any HSA plans. I currently have the Bronze 60 HSA Kaiser HMO plan with Covered California. It costs around $115 a month including my Federal APTC which is estimated to take off around $300 off my monthly premium. Should I keep this plan so I can contribute to my HSA, or should I switch to a non-HSA plan with the state?
