Late 20s, Los Angeles, UHC and MediCal
Last year I lost my job during the pandemic and applied for health coverage on covered California. Unbeknownst to me I qualified for and was apparently given MediCal coverage. Unaware that I had it I took my old job back when it reopened and got health insurance through them. I parted ways with the employer after a couple of months and apparently they never terminated my health coverage. I operated under the assumption that I was uninsured from Aug-Dec but two 1095s showed up saying I was covered both by my employer and MediCal during that time. Probably going to have to learn a hard lesson on this one but I didnt use either during that time. Would inputting the forms as is automatically get me audited? I’m definitely an idiot in this situation and just trying to find the least painful way out. thanks in advance
