I recently started a job that has terrible benefits. I was going thru the sign up process and it would be around $2k per month for my family… which seems astronomically high. I started looking at the marketplace and with the American Rescue Act I qualify for some plans that have 0 monthly premium. I worked with a broker found thru the marketplace and she presented Bright Health silver plan and that it is outstanding coverage. I have read very scary reviews on Bright Health online – I know people aren’t typically going to go out of their way to write good reviews, so I take that with a grain of salt, but at the same time if I got that plan and ran into an issue I would be kicking myself for ignoring many glaring red flags.
I guess my longwinded question is – what providers via the marketplace are recommended? I don’t need to have a $0 premium if it means I will run into issues. Are there options outside of the marketplace that I should consider?
