Would insurance cover a visit from before I was technically covered?

I know, sounds like a stupid question, but hear me out:

I got insurance through the healthcare marketplace because I hadn’t been feeling well and wanted to see a doctor, but it was towards the end of the month and my insurance would come into effect on the first, so I figured I’d get my insurance set up, suck it up for a week, then go to the doctor once my coverage took effect. However, I took a turn for the worse a few days before that and decided to see a doctor anyways. Couple days later, I’m now covered by my insurance. The doctors didn’t send me the invoice for my services until the 2nd of the month. So my question is, although I was seen before I was covered by my insurance, would I still be covered since they didn’t send the bill until after my policy took effect? Or does it all depend on when the services were actually provided to me?

I’m so sorry if this sounds dumb, I have no clue how insurance works.
