Hi peeps. I apologize in advance because this is probably a very dumb post.
So, my insurance is through my dad who is a federal employee. The plan is a GEHA Standard option for self-plus-family. Being a PPO, out-of-network care is covered too. The home network for our state is UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus. However, I am moving to PA soon for college, where the home network is Aetna Signature Administrators. Both networks are in the GEHA PPO, of course.
So my question is, how much coverage will I have in PA? Will I be charged in-network rates at the Aetna providers and the out-of-network charge at others; or, will I have to pay out-of-network rates everywhere in PA; or, will I have no coverage at all in PA? Note that I am or course talking about medical services EXCLUDING EMERGENCY CARE. I am aware that the emergency care is covered everywhere.
Thanks in advance!
