I just got a new job and the only company-provided healthcare is a super low deductible plan (resulting in a much higher payment per paycheck than expected). I am a 27y/o male with a 26 y/o wife. We go to the doctor once each per year… so I am hoping for a high deductible plan that has yearly physicals included. This way I don’t pay out the a** in medical insurance when I really don’t “need” it at this stage of my life.
Anyhow, I have been talking with a healthcare advisor who’s NPN# I have verified through NIPR.com so I know he’s legit. However, at the end of our call, about to submit the application… I was asked for my bank account info (Routing + Checking acct numbers). I immediately told him I was not going to give out that info. But he says it is very normal… Why would they need that just to submit an application?
Is this really normal? Or is this all a huge scam?
