Insured through ACA. Self-employed, income uncertain, wondering about ups/downs/pitfalls of re-enrolling with a different plan?

I’m currently in a Bronze plan. I’ve been avoiding going to the doctor for a while. But I’ve got a first appointment with a new PCP next month. Nothing major going on, but I’m a 48yo dude so it’s almost colonoscopy time, and my peeing isn’t what it used to be so there could be some prostate stuff going on. Or not. I feel mostly fine except I’m tired all the time.

Point being, maybe my one appointment in June will be one appointment for a check-up and that’s it. But maybe I’ll need a physical, or maybe they’ll want to run tests for that other stuff. So that could become expensive.

My current deductible is $8,500. My cash flow sucks right now. I’m starting a new business that might start paying off soon…or not. I’ve got money in retirement but I’d prefer not to dip into that.

Last year my Adjusted Gross Income was $18,000. I imagine it’ll be about the same this year unless the new business takes off.

So I’m just wondering if it’d be worth it for me to look into upgrading my ACA plan because of the new rules in the CoViD relief plan. I’ll call the marketplace and see what they say but thought I’d check here first. Thanks!
