I’m a 23M living in Florida with my parents. Recently moved from a different state to a new job, where I’m able to support both myself and my parents. We originally immigrated from a 3rd world country, where they’ve raised me and paid for my education. Now, I’m trying to repay my debt. They used to work, but have unemployed since COVID. They’re not required to work since I make enough for the family, but also, their English isn’t that good. My job offers me health insurance, but I cannot claim them as dependents. Is there anything I can do for them? I’ve tried to see if they’re eligible for Medicaid, but based on the assessment, it says that they’re unlikely to get it since they don’t have any bills or expenses that they pay for.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I’d be appreciative of any help. Thank you!
