Need to enroll in Cobra for wife to cover a procedure not covered in my plan

I just passed my open enrollment and during that time, I put my wife and daughter on my employer’s health care plan. We just found out that a series of procedures and medication my wife needs will not be covered by this health care plan. However she just left a full time job where she was enrolled in a healthcare plan that DID cover this procedure and meds. She left the job mid-May. The new health care plan from my work starts June 1. If she enrolls in COBRA will her COBRA coverage terminate when the new insurance plan from my work starts coverage?
