So I got laid off on 04/20/21 and just picked up prescriptions and had to pay out of pocket since according to my health insurer my coverage terminated on 04/30/21. I never received anything relating to COBRA but was under the impression the coverage would continue until I receive the notice and enroll?
Is this normal for the coverage to terminate, so everything’s paid out of pocket, and then restart retroactively once elected? Should I have received something by now? I wasn’t expecting anything else in the mail besides the notice since the premiums are supposed to be handled by them until september
Any advice? Thank you
