Health Insurance for Across 48 States

Hi,

I am US student who is waitlisted for multiple grad schools, and accepted at others. I am not sure which school/state I will ultimately end up at, but one school in particular ask me to get an insurance that covers its state soon/now. I hope to get an insurance that covers all of the lower 48 states, so that it will work no matter which state I end up at later on.

How do I go about searching for insurance that fulfill this criteria? What are the names of the insurance companies that provide such service, and what is the exact plan names?

Also, I’m first generation US citizen. I don’t have income(so I don’t pay taxes yet), and my parents (who aren’t US citizens) funds my education. Does having no income affect my ability to receive health care insurance? (I do have a US permanent address to put down.)

Thank you in advance for any input!
