So I received an update letter from my current insurance company that they did not cover a bill from about three years ago.
At the time, I had started a new job and it was kind of odd but their health insurance did not kick in for several months. So I was still using my other insurance for awhile.
It was a little unclear when that change over happened (I’m totally at fault here though, Iwas busy and honestly very stressed).
Anyway, it turns out that I saw a doctor who is out of network for my current insurance and the old insurance company sent the bill to the new one. So im not looking to fight this or anything (it’s already been rejected by my current insurance).
Anyway, I’m assuming all I’m supposed to do here is call the doctor’s office and ask if I have a balance, right? And just pay out of pocket? I have the money and it’s not a huge thing, I’m just not very confident about it and want to make sure this makes sense.
