I think it is outrageous that my doctor wants to charge me $525 for a walking boot that I could online for $75.
What I am even more pissed about is how they tried to be sneaky tried and hide this information from me while I’m in the office.
They gave me a piece of paper with the cost and a “note” that they could give a prescription instead AFTER they fitted me and told me to sign something.
What I am even more angry about is how I KNOW they do this but because I was in a lot of pain, I wasn’t in my right mindset to think about this little fact.
I want to fight this but I don’t remember how. I used to work at a health insurance company but it’s been awhile but I thought there was a state administration that you could complain to?
Any advice on where to look? I am in Maryland.
