Ok so some context, my mother was a homemaker for about 30 years and raised 5 kids (football practices, karate, skate practice, + everything else for 5 kids) while my stepdad worked. A few years back the divorce happened and while she gets alimony she doesn’t have health coverage, and at the age of 57 she still doesn’t qualify for Medicare. She has some things that need to be looked at, but currently she isn’t able to get on a plan with myself or one of my siblings due to the whole enrollment period thing. Are there any options for her to get some coverage since she just doesn’t get enough to cover the extremely ridiculous costs for health insurance these days? Any help is appreciated.
