How does one get off their parent’s employer-sponsored insurance?

Hello all, I’ve realized that with my option for mental health resources, my primary insurance through my mother does not cover costs for a lot of the things that I very much need, and if they do it’s at extremely high deductibles, and when I’m the one in my family who’s services are the one’s that get put on that deductible, I’d rather just go through my secondary state insurance that I independently have, where co-pays are very low and affordable. Most of what I need is covered through state Medicaid, but I cannot go to providers and tell them to bill my secondary insurance when I have a private primary one. I’m above 18 for reference–Do I have to go through my mother and have her contact insurance to take me off, or do I have to wait until the enrollment period in the fall/winter?
